Poison Center

The Poison Center Program captures the specific prescription opioids and stimulants involved in intentional and unintentional exposures reported to poison centers.

The Poison Center Program gathers data from 50 of the 55 regional US poison centers. These poison centers receive spontaneous reports of intentional and unintentional exposures for the purpose of assistance with the medical management of the case. Standardized fields are used to capture patient demographics, exposure characteristics, products involved, route of administration, and medical outcome.
