 Welcome
The Researched Abuse, Diversion and Addiction-Related Surveillance (RADARS®) System is a prescription drug abuse, misuse and diversion surveillance system that collects timely product-and geographically-specific data.

The RADARS System measures rates of abuse, misuse and diversion throughout the United States, contributing to the understanding of trends and aiding the development of effective interventions. These data assist pharmaceutical companies in fulfillment of their regulatory obligations such as risk evaluation and mitigation strategies (REMS).

 Data Collection
Eight RADARS System Programs target diverse populations and capture numerator data on different facets of the drug dependence pathway. These data are collected in a systematic fashion and under a rigorous quality assurance program:

•Drug Diversion Program
•Poison Center Program
•Opioid Treatment Program
•Survey of Key Informants' Patients Program
•Impaired Health Care Worker Program
•College Survey Program
•StreetRx
•Web Monitoring
 Data Analysis
The RADARS System biostatistics team offers consulting services for analysis of client specific research questions.

Our statisticians possess expertise in:
  • Poisson regression
  • Generalized linear mixed models
  • Latent variable analysis
  • Epidemiology of drug abuse and dependence

Analyses can be performed for conferences and publications. In addition, our staff are experienced in protocol development, statistical analysis plans, and providing reports for the FDA.

 Expert Review
RADARS System data are reviewed by esteemed members of the RADARS System Scientific Advisory Board.

 Data Reporting
Standard quarterly and annual reports are available to RADARS System subscribers within four months of the end of the time period of interest. Customized and ad hoc reports are also available for both subscribers and others on an as-needed basis.
 Publication
RADARS System data and results of analyses are regularly published in peer reviewed journals and presented at scientific conferences.
