StreetRx (
www.streetrx.com) is a collection of databases, websites and citizen reports intended to enable real-time collection, organization and display of street price data on diverted pharmaceutical controlled substances. The site intended to be the most comprehensive and timely resource on street price. Based on principles of crowd-sourcing for public health surveillance, site users anonymously submit prices they paid or heard were paid for diverted prescription drugs. A prominent "Report A Price" field allows the site user to select the drug, US city and state, price, formulation, dosage strength, and source. The source of the information can be identified by the submitter in three ways to reduce incrimination: personal experience, heard it, internet. There is a visual photo identification feature for each formulation to improve data quality. Site visitors are able to rate their perceptions on previously submitted prices using a five-point scale that ranges from "cheap" to "overpriced." Data from other source are also included, including from Internet posts about street price and public government reports. StreetRx was launched on November 1, 2010.
