Dr. Richard Dart Interviewed by FOX 31 Denver affiliate regarding Poison Control Centers funding cuts -"Poison Control Centers are able to take care of the callers whole problem at home," said Dr. Richard Dart, president of the American Association of Poison Control Centers. "They don't have to visit their doctor they don't have to visit the emergency department." Which happens about 80 percent of the time. The other 20 percent are directed to the appropriate medical care. Saving at least a billion dollars a year in costs to already overcrowded emergency rooms. View the video interview at
