Poison Center Signal Detection System
Collects data on acute and chronic exposures for all ages from 47 of 60 poison centers, accounting for a populations in rural, urban, and suburban areas of the United States. Provides prescription drug abuse and misuse data on acute incidence where the caller is requesting advice on how to treat an exposure to the medication.
Richard C. Dart, M.D., Ph.D., Rocky Mountain Poison & Drug Center, is the principal investigator of this system.
